Update: Rally on Sunday
Just wanted to give an update that the pro-Willets Point Development rally should be taking place Sunday morning at about 11 am. Considering the festivities (and possible mass depression of Mets fans) are set to take place after the game on Sunday, getting a group together on Sunday morning should be a good time.

Rally for Development
I’m working on a possible rally in favor of the development of Willets Point at some point this weekend, most likely before one of the last regular season games at Shea. If you are interested in coming out to support the plan this weekend, please email me at developwilletspoint@gmail.com.

News: Pro Development Rally Tomorrow
On Wednesday, August 13, at 1 pm in Washington Square Park a coalition of elected officials, environmental advocates, labor leaders, and civic and cultural organizations will rally in support of New York City’s next great neighborhood, Willets Point.
The supporters of the plan intend to tell the City Planning Commission they believe it should approve the development plan for Willets Point.
If you can attend, I strongly urge you to do so. I’m nowhere near Washington Square Park, but if your lunch hour might coincide with this rally, it’s a great opportunity to get out there and be heard.
