   Links are good and all, but Save the Apple seems the opposite of this blog. Keeping the crappy Willet’s Point area around with the exciting new Citi Field is the same as keeping that rotted apple and not building a new one.

   Ceetar,

   Appreciate the feedback, and I see where you’re coming from. I’ll reserve the right to be a bit nostalgic about the stadium in which I saw my first major league game.

   I’m thrilled that Citi Field has prompted the Mayor to take action in Willets Point, but I have long felt that the area should be developed, whether the Mets had a new home or not.
